We found some orchids 🤩🌸🌼 the display here in Paynes is already stunning 🤩 should be in full bloom in about 2 weeks. What a great year 🌸🌼

Please report injured animals and check if you hit one.

Imagine…if this was you …
You’ve been injured and left on the side of the road, scared, alone, confused, vulnerable and you may lay like this for days. Help may not be coming. You are alone.
This is the reality for many of our wildlife.

We have received many calls recently to assist injured animals that have been hit and left. Please, please report it if you hit it. Take note of a road marker,sign or drop a pin and notify someone.
Now imagine…help is on the way.

We recently celebrated Sharon’s 5 year anniversary with us 🎉🥳 amazing how fast time flies and we are so grateful to have you on our team and value everything you do for us. Hopefully to many more years. At the same time we sadly had to say goodbye to amazing Tricia after over two years in our team she’s off to new adventures. We wish you all the best and will miss you.🥰

⚡The WA Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy was released by government in November 2020.

The State Government is committed to reducing emissions from its transport fleet and has set a target for 50 per cent of all eligible new government fleet vehicles purchased from 1 July 2025 to be battery electric (BEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) 🚗🔋

We’re introducing more electric vehicles (EVs) into our fleet, but also electric plant and equipment as part of our transition to low and zero emission vehicles.

At present, our fleet includes 10 battery-electric vehicles supported by seven charging stations located across both metropolitan and regional areas.

Our approach focuses on:
✅ Transitioning our light fleet to EV across the organisation
✅ Introducing electric trucks and plant equipment
✅ Working with government partners to support EV uptake

These steps will help reduce emissions and support a more sustainable transport network for WA now and into the future.

Please take care on the roads if you are travelling this long weekend. We want you and our wildlife to remain safe. Be aware of wildlife on or crossing roads at dawn and dusk particularly. If you come across injured wildlife or unfortunately hit an animal, please stop and check if it is safe to do so. A kangaroo joey can live for a few days in its dead Mum's pouch and suffers terribly. Put the number of your local wildlife rescue group in your phone along with the wildcare helpline number 94749055.
