Wow Paynesville - what a week!

It's hard to put into words just how much this week has meant to our family.

What started as a simple fundraiser became something much bigger — a reminder of just how incredible this community really is.

As many of you know, my dad Graeme is living with MND. Watching someone you love face this disease is heartbreaking. It changes everything. But over the past week, we've also seen the very best of people.

To everyone who bought a parma, donated, attended the raffle, shared a post, offered words of support, or simply took the time to ask how Dad is going — thank you. Every contribution, no matter the size, has helped support the fight against MND and given our family a lift when we needed it most.

A huge thank you to the Paynesville Football Netball Club, our staff, volunteers, local businesses who donated prizes, and everyone who got behind the cause. We are incredibly lucky to be part of a community that always shows up when it matters. And a big thank you to Bairnsdale Football Netball Club for organising the DIY Big Freeze year after year. Last count over $190,000 raised this year.

MND is a cruel disease, but this week has shown us something stronger — kindness, generosity and community spirit.

OOOH baby! Best get cracking: The Seafood boil is on it's way 🥘

This is NOT your average dinner, it’s a full-blown, roll-up-your-sleeves kind of night at the Paynesville Hotel.

Kick things off with a drink and roaming bites before settling in for the main event: a generous, hands-on seafood boil built for sharing.

Platters land, shells pile up and things get a little messy, in the best way possible. With fires going, tunes in the background and a room full of people getting stuck in, it’s all about big flavours, good energy and not taking things too seriously 💥

You’ll be given a bib (YES, you’ll need it), a seat at the table and full permission to dive in.
Come hungry, bring your mates and don’t hold back this is one night where neat and tidy is completely overrated.

A full feast experience from start to finish, with the menu to be revealed soon. Book as a crew of 4–6 or come solo and make some new mates at the table.
