PENGUIN SEASCAPE, a magical spot overlooking Bass Strait
Penguin Seascape is a great spot to base yourself while staying in Tasmania on the north coast. Only a 20 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania, Penguin is a lovely coastal town that overlooks the Bass Strait and has its own fairy penguins that live on the rocky beaches. From here, you can explore the area and visit places such as Cradle Mountain, La Trobe, Levon Canyon, Stanley and The Nut to name a few.
Penguin Seascape itself is a lovely fully self contained 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday house in Penguin with sweeping views of Bass Strait. Wake up each morning to the sound of waves. You can enjoy your morning coffee looking at Bass Strait either sitting inside or on the veranda. Or relax in the back garden over looking the farmland of the area.
While staying at Penguin Seascape, why not explore the rocky beach across the road. During low tide, search the rockpools for sea stars, anemones and crabs. After dusk look for the fairy penguins as they come in from Bass Strait for the night (red torches only). It is so magical following them up to their burrows.
