Dear guests and friends,

After 10 wonderful years, we will be officially closing Madsen Retreat from the 5th of October.

We have decided it's time to move on and begin a new chapter in life. Thank you so much to all our guests, and to our beautiful Penguin locals for all your support and love over the years. It has meant everything to us.

Many guests ask where they can see penguins in Penguin. There’s actually a penguin observation area just 15 minutes away at Lillico Beach. As a volunteer guide there, I help visitors from around the world discover the fascinating life of Tasmania’s little penguins. The photos were taken last night.
