Yesterday we were honoured to be a part of something special.
Cassie was rescued by a caring local on the road not too far from here, suffering from conjunctivitis and suspected hit by a car.
She was taken into care by our incredible High Country Koala Action Group Inc. Action Group who assessed her and found she was also carrying a tiny joey in her pouch. Cassie and her baby responded to the treatment and care by these amazing humans, and was ready to be rereleased somewhere safe.
Cassie is the second rehabilitated koala to be rehomed at Bunnyconnellen recently, you may remember koala Stewart from our socials late last year. We couldn’t be happier to give these guys a safe and plentiful environment.

Thank you High Country Koala Action Group Inc. group for all of their incredible work. Run completely on volunteers, HCKAG is our local nonprofit hero’s, caring for and championing our local wildlife. Training, education, fuel costs, veterinary treatment and medication is all costly, and we are proud to support them where we can. If you can too, we have added a link in our bio to donate.

A little over 12 months in the making and we are now ready to host our first celebration in our new event space next week!

While we still have more to do to before it reaches our final vision, stage 1 is now complete and we are so excited to share it with you. But we need your help.

The Story: This shed was built in 2014 when the S-M family first came to Bunnyconnellen and was used to house shipping containers for storage. It was built on the site of the original dairy shed, which stood until the last dairy cows were milked here in 1996. The property, then named Hillview, changed ownership soon after and Bunnyconnellen began. Knowing this would be the newest structure on an otherwise character-filled property, every effort was made to blend it in with the existing surrounds, with the external wall clad with old iron from neighbouring property’s defunct dairy sheds.
Standing in prime position overlooking the olive grove, we always knew this space was destined for bigger things. So when we finally emptied it last year during our entryway renovations, the vision began to evolve and after many months mainly spent waiting on systems needed for approval, we are finally ready to reveal the first stage of this beautiful space.
