Well this doesn’t happen often… We’ve had a last-minute cancellation and suddenly have a family room and a queen room up for grabs this long weekend.

If you need last minute accomodation, you’ve been tossing up an Easter escape, or you feel like a slightly impulsive “why not?” getaway… this is your sign.

Jump on the website and snap them up before someone else does. 🫶🏻

At the top of the stairs of the front, original building you’ll find the Lady Bollinger Room. It’s a beautiful queen room, with a great little sitting area to relax on your getaway.

The Lady Bollinger room is Tom’s favourite. It’s bright with so much natural light, and a view of the lighthouse too.

I love the bathroom, I wouldn’t mind those tiles at home!

And yes, that’s an electric blanket ready to keep you warm during the cooler months. 👏

Considering she’s been standing since 1884, the room has its quirks… but you’ll have to stay a night to find them 😉😂

Have you stayed in the Lady Bollinger room? Is it your favourite too?

200 metres. That's how far you are from the beach when you stay with us at the Point Lonsdale Guest House.

I went down on my own the other morning before the kids were up and honestly just stood there for a bit. The bay beach is calm and perfect for little ones, the surf beach is around the corner for anyone who actually knows what they're doing in the water (not me), and the rock pools! if you haven't taken kids to the Lonnie rock pools, add it to the list immediately. And sitting over all of it, the lighthouse, which never gets old.

Some of our guests go every morning. Some go at sunset. Some, I suspect, go at midnight just because they can.

However you like to do it — the beach is right there. No excuses. Just enjoy how lucky we are to be this close to it.

This building has been standing in Point Lonsdale since around 1884. Which is, genuinely, wild. Formerly known as The Terminus - the oldest guesthouse in Point Lonsdale - our beautiful Point Lonsdale Guest House has been welcoming guests since a time when the world looked completely unrecognisable.

To put 1884 into perspective...
🏉 Geelong had just won their third VFA premiership in a row. The AFL didn't exist yet, I mean the VFL didn't even exist yet! But the Cat's were catting... as they say?
🏏 Australia had just taken the Ashes from England for THE. FIRST. TIME. Cricket was the talk of every parlour and guesthouse in Victoria... probably including ours!
👑 Queen Victoria was on the throne. Australia wasn't even a nation yet.
🎾 Wimbledon was only 7 years old.
📚 Huckleberry Finn had literally just come out...

And through all of it — two World Wars, the Great Depression, Federation, the moon landing, the internet — this ridiculous, wonderful old building has just kept standing here, 200 metres from the beach, doing its thing.

How incredibly cool is that!

A big, long-overdue hello from the new business owners here at Point Lonsdale Guest House! 👋Hi, we're Tom and Lexy, and we are so thrilled to finally introduce ourselves!

We fell in love with this beautiful old building the moment we first saw it. The history, the charm, the creaky floorboards, the way the light falls through the old windows... we just knew it was somewhere special.

We took over in November last year and, honestly, we went head-first straight into a glorious, chaotic summer — which we loved every second of. But we've been so busy welcoming guests that we haven't had the chance to properly say hello until now!

So: hello! We're Tom and Lexy, we have three kids in tow, and we are absolutely loving being part of this incredible little corner of Victoria. We can't wait to welcome you to the Point Lonsdale Guest House.

If you've stayed with us recently, Thank You!!! from the bottom of our hearts. And if you haven't visited yet, we would love to have you. 🫶
