Dad’s Recovery Ritual

Lon Spa’s Dad Recovery Ritual is designed to help the Father in your life give some self-care. It will relieve muscular tension and assist your Dad to perform at his optimum level.

Dad’s recovery begins with a thermal contrast therapy journey Soak + Sauna + Plunge. He will enjoy our Mineral Pool, Hot Mineral Soak and Outdoor Contrast Therapy space with Sauna, and Cold Plunge, whilst hydrating his body with herbal tea and lemon water. Private steam therapy is then followed by a 60-minute Muscle Ease Massage.

Claire's family have farmed this land for seven generations.

In the early 1900s, her ancestors hand-dug channels to bring the mineral springs to the surface, piping the water into cattle troughs across the farm.

In 2018, Claire and Rob renovated the family's sandstone farmhouse, sandstone brick by sandstone brick, into what's now Lon Retreat. The kitchen became the hotel reception. The lounge became the foyer. The garages became the staff kitchen and offices.

The mineral springs now run into the spa's soaking tubs, the mineral pool, and directly into the stone baths of two suites.

There's a reason guests email after they leave, asking where everything is from: the art on the walls, the ceramics on the shelves, the cups they drank their tea from. Every piece has a story. The building has been a home for over 150 years. You can feel it. A true wellness retreat.
