This one is really special to us. 🤍

I’m not sure how many of you knew our beautiful mate, Brad “Chappy” Chapman.

Chappy was our postman for a couple of years, and almost every day when he’d come to the Station he’d tell us how much he wanted to work here. I’d always say, “One day, when we’re properly up and running, I promise we’ll give you a job.”

And eventually, that day came.

But Chappy became so much more than someone who worked for us. He became one of Tim’s and my best mates. He came into our lives at a time when our light had turned off a little, and somehow he became that light for us. He was our biggest supporter, our biggest fan, and one of those people who genuinely wanted to see us succeed.

When Chappy got sick, hand on heart, I never really believed we were going to lose him. I thought he’d do the treatment, beat it and come back stronger than ever. Losing him was absolutely devastating. I’d never lost someone before who I felt so deeply just shouldn’t have been gone.

I still think about him all the time. Nearly every day something happens at the Station that makes me think of Chappy, and I often wonder where we’d be now if he was still here with us. I know he would be so bloody proud of everything this place has become.

So, for those who don’t already know… we’ve bought another train.

And there was only ever going to be one name for it.

The Chapman. 🤍

Our new train will carry Chappy’s name, and a little piece of him will always be here at the Station with us.

We miss you, mate. More than you could ever know.

We can’t wait to bring The Chapman back to life 🤍 love, Ash x
