Pure Bliss

What can I say about the most relaxing trip my husband and I have had since becoming parents? Gay and Warren are the most beautiful couple. Nothing is a bother and they go above and beyond to help but allow you all the privacy you need. When we arrived Gay was there to greet us and spent nearly an hour mapping out the local area and where we should visit. Just so incredibly helpful. We found every single one of her suggestions to be exactly on point. Couldn’t fault anything. Her suggestions were so fine tuned she even knew what food to try at each location. The rooms are spacious impeccably clean and very comfortable. Your own private ensuite allows for optimal privacy. Our room included a bar fridge and Nespresso coffee machine which Gay affectionately refers to as a “George Clooney”. Great little additions such as Port and glasses as well as fresh biscuits and tea selections. We stayed in the room “Shiraz”. The breakfasts at Cooperage B&B were AMAZING! First morning , we were greeted with hot coffee and fresh fruit salad, gorgeous yogurt and a variety of museli. This was followed by a second course of Eggs Benedict with fresh warm Turkish bread paired with slow roasted Roma tomatoes. Piping hot and just heavenly flavours. Coffee constantly being poured and freshly squeezed juice. The second morning was just as amazing!! Our room opened up onto a balcony with table and chairs over looking the vineyard. So picturesque. We enjoyed some cheese and wine we had purchased (recommended by Gay) and relaxed in the afternoon light. As if this wasn’t enough Gay and Warren have converted the wine cellar into a home theatre. Just such a great idea. We enjoyed a movie after a night of incredible food. They have provided a large library of movie options! Overall I would give a rating of 100/10. You must try for yourselves!

Only days now before the 2019 vintage is picked. With the 40+ days this week, the baume will intensify quickly. Ballooning is also something wonderful to do and you could go over our place, like the balloon in this photo.
