A cold front is heading our way this weekend, bringing the chance of snow flurries to the Stirling Range and the Porongurups. Time to cozy up!

❄️ A cold front may bring snow falls to southern WA this weekend!❄️

The Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Jessica Lingard says a cold front will hit overnight Friday bringing the chance of snow flurries on the Stirling Range and potentially on the smaller Porongrups.

Ms Lingard says the best chance of snow will be just after sunrise on Saturday morning.

There's also a chance of more snowfalls on Monday as a second front crosses southern WA.

Bluff Knoll, the highest peak, in the Stirling Range records snowfalls a couple of times a year on average.

🌧️ What a wild weekend it’s been in the Porongurups! The storm rolled in with a fury, bringing heavy rain, snapped branches, and even a fallen tree! 🌳 Nature sure knows how to put on a show!

As we assess the aftermath, we’re grateful for the beauty that comes after the storm. Here’s to hoping that’s the last of the wild weather and that spring is finally here to stay! Time to embrace the sunshine and all the vibrant blooms that are sure to follow. 🌷🌞

Incredible effort from our guests, Melissa and Roger, who braved the challenging weather to conquer Bluff Knoll! As the highest peak in the Stirling Range at 1,099 metres, it’s a 6.8km return hike that is both a physical challenge and a rewarding adventure.
