Freestyle is perfectly situated just a short 5 minutesโ walk from the famous Four Mile Beach, with kilometres of sand lapped by the waves from the Coral Sea and
overhung by tropical palm trees. Also the hub of Port Douglas lies a mere 5 minutesโ walk away, where you will find the buzz of Macrossan Street lined with boutiques, restaurants and cafes to suit all desires. Specifically designed to suit our unique tropical climate, Freestyle Resort Port Douglas boasts the classic North Queenslander features, over-hanging roofs, verandahs, shutters and all surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Freestyle features 31 one and two-bedroom, self-contained, air-conditioned, fully furnished apartments with top quality finishes and all amenities including, cable TV, DVD player and FREE broadband and Wi-Fi access in apartments and in the guest lounge. The apartments all offer a private balcony or patio that overlook the saltwater pool and spa, garden pavilion, or a tropical reserve. The one-bedroom apartments have a queen sized bed, en-suite bathroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen (microwave, hotplates, dishwasher and 220L fridge/freezer) and spacious balcony with a ceiling fan. Plus the sofa in the living room folds out to a double bed with a spring mattress. The two-bedroom apartments are on the second floor and have internal stairs. Upstairs there is a bedroom with either a king sized bed or two single beds, a bathroom (shower and bath) and a separate toilet. Downstairs is a similar layout to the one-bedroom apartments. All apartments are self-contained and air-conditioned, with ceiling fans throughout. However, there is lots of open space around Freestyle to capture the cool sea breezes. The saltwater swimming pool is 15 metres long and there's a large deck that extends around the pool, leading to the barbecue pavilion. So there is plenty of room for guests to relax by the pool or spa, or enjoy a casual meal in the barbecue area. There are also local tennis courts just across the road from the resort. It's an easy walk to the beach, the restaurants and shops, the marina, the markets, and the main street. There is really no need for a hire-car or taxi... All you need to do is switch into holiday mode.
