For all wanderers at heart we're still your cosy home away from home — just with a little more freedom to roam. We are in one of Port Fairy’s many historic buildings. This was the home of one of the town founder’s - William Rutledge. We have a wide variety of accommodation from shared dorm rooms, private doubles, twins and family rooms. Some rooms with own facilities.

CGG’s seismic blasting proposal in the Otway Basin has been rejected by the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority in a historical win.

One of the many things we love about is all the live music on offer 🥰

Last night, Pete & the team at .sally had The Victoriana Gaye Trio performing live…and it was magical ✨

Intimate venue, electric atmosphere, effortless musical talent, the most delicious pizza & cocktails all rolled together to create an ambient delight 🫶🏼

With special guest appearance from the local legend on the Harmonica too - it was a real treat of a night!

Legend has it our guesthouse is home to a restless spirit from the 1800s - The maid of the town founder William Rutledge (dressed all in white of course), who still wanders the hallways after dark. Spooky.

𝑾𝒆'𝒓𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈!
Help us create a warm and welcoming space for travelers from all over the world.

We're looking for casual cleaners. You will be working 3-4 hour morning shifts starting from 9am (can be flexible around school drop offs). Weekday and Weekend shifts are available.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈:
- Cleaning and tidying communal spaces
- Making up guest rooms.
- General housekeeping and laundry duties

𝑾𝒆'𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒇𝒇 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆:
- Reliable and detail orientated.
- Self Motivated (you'll often be working independently).
- Experienced in cleaning preferred but not essential as training is provided.
- Basic computer skills
- Friendly with local knowledge as you will often be chatting with guests as you go about your duties.

𝑨 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒖𝒔:
Although we are a backpackers at heart, our guests are a diverse mix of domestic and international travellers of all ages. We host a mix of solo adventurers, couples, families, workers and tour groups. We aim to create a home away from home where all our guests feel welcome and to promote local sights and businesses in the area.
