Today’s the day!
Grant and Remember are out on the trails this morning, taking on the 45 km Timbavati Traverse to raise awareness and funds for vital conservation and community projects in and around the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.
Their goal? To raise money towards protecting our wildlife and supporting the people who share this land.
Every step they take is for something greater – and you can still be part of it too.

Preparations are in full swing for this Saturday’s Timbavati Traverse, and we couldn’t be more excited!
Each year, one of our dedicated field rangers joins one of the herds on the route — not just to take on the physical challenge, but to educate participants about the crucial work being done in anti-poaching. This is one of the causes the Traverse proudly supports.
For many of our rangers, it’s the first time tackling a 21km or 45km run, or even an 80km cycle — but they always rise to the occasion.
As Orlat Ndlovu (TNR Head Of Ranger Services) shared:
“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞. 𝐄𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐈 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞. 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭—𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐲.”
Good luck to all the 2025 participants!
And a heartfelt thank you to everyone — runners, riders, sponsors, and our incredible Traverse committee — for your support and dedication.
