Hope everyone had a stunning Christmas and New years.
Now in 2016 we are deep in the middle of our cruise ship period with two done and one to go. The cruise ship days offer a wide range of activities to do in town that isn't always available. Town tours, tours out to Budji Bim a wonderful area with so much history and culture of our Native Australians.
And lets not forget the wonderful markets on cruise ship days. on the 7th of January we saw up to 130 stalls operating all day long. So if markets are your thing then you will want to get down to Portland to check out our amazing cruise ship markets.
So the third and last cruise that i have been talking about will hit our shores on the 6th of Feb so be sure not to miss it.

Good time to visit Portland. Stay in one of our rooms or apartments and go Whale watching, Tuna fishing or if you're lucky see Bottle Nose Dolphins.
There have been multiple sightings of whales in the past few weeks so you have a great chance too see some as well as a Pod of Bottle Nose Dolphins spotted on the weekend.

Take a trip to Cape Bridgewater and see the Blowholes and Petrified forest to name a few attractions or head out to Cape Nelson and see the Enchanted Forest and The Cape Nelson Lighthouse and more...

Take on the Great South West Walk all 250 kilometres of it or if that sounds too tough take your car out and do the various short walks it has to offer.

If you would prefer to stay in town there are three museums to look at being the Maritime Museum, The Powerhouse (Vintage Car) Museum and the WWII Museum. Jump on Portland's famous Cable Tram and visit all the sights as you can hop on and off at your leisure.

As you can see there is plenty to see and do in Portland at this time of year as this is just a glimpse of what is available in the area. So come down and stay a few nights and see the wonders that Portland has to offer.
