Playing the midnight shift at The Oasis tonight ....21st Century Fox is a nom de plume for Melbourne based visual artist Chantal DArcy. A painter, drawer and DJ Chantal experiments with abstraction focusing on ideas around lo-fi glamour, tackiness and kitsch. Influenced heavily by her South African heritage and formative years in Western Australia as well as 1970s British rock and roll, post punk and 1980s pop, Chantal is an eclectic and unique artist with experimental sensibilities ready to show our west coast clubbers the way to a good time on the dance floor xx

One of the headline shows of The Unconformity is a new Tasmanian drama from Tasmanian writer Cameron Hindrum and Mudlark Theatre, and it has strong links to the West Coast.

Set on Tasmania’s rugged west coast, I Am A Lake is a coming of age story exploring the linked lives of Alice, Mum and Nugget. Alice is a young girl who knows her own mind; she knows she wants more, she perhaps knows more than she should, but she also knows there is something very big that she doesn't know. A deeply entrenched family secret haunts her nights, and threatens to submerge all her dreams.

A post show chat with the I Am A Lake creative team will be presented after the Saturday 2:00pm show.

"Expect to see a giant cardboard construction site with thousands of cardboard boxes filling Queenstown's Memorial Hall, and at the end of the festival it will all be stomped into oblivion.

Around three-quarters of the events in The Unconformity are free. However, there are a number of ticketed events, and they are starting to sell quite rapidly, so if you haven't booked any tickets yet, hit the website to ensure that you don't miss out.
