🍻 VOLUNTEER BAR WORKERS WANTED 🍻

The Queenstown RSL Sub-Branch is looking for enthusiastic community members to join our team as Volunteer Bar Workers as we prepare to reopen our doors on 1st July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support your local RSL, meet new people, and help create a welcoming environment for our veterans, members, and the wider community.

✅ No experience necessary – training will be provided
✅ Friendly and supportive team environment
✅ Flexible volunteer shifts available
✅ Opportunity to gain hospitality experience

For the right person, this volunteer role may lead to future paid employment opportunities as the RSL continues to grow.

'The Ship That Never Was' will continue to perform through June and most of July 2026.

We will attempt to perform every day or every second day, but performances will only go ahead if we get enough bookings (15+ people) or if the weather is too bad to perform.

Without enough bookings, performances will be cancelled by 4pm on the day.

Confirmed performance dates so far:
June - 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 28th, 30th
July - 3rd, 5th - 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st

No performances::

August - entire month

We’re bringing Council to the community.

Join your West Coast Councillors and staff for an informal Community Conversation in Queenstown.

This is a chance to share your ideas, raise concerns, ask questions and talk about what matters most to you and your community.

- Tuesday 9 June 2026
- 6.30pm – 7.30pm
- Council Chambers, Sticht St, Queenstown

There’s no formal agenda — just relaxed, face‑to‑face conversations to help Council better understand local priorities.

We’re here to listen.

Here’s an incredible opportunity for the artists of Braddon! 👩‍🎨🖌️

EOIs are open for the Australian Parliament House Artist-in-Residence program – Braddon has so many incredible artists so I’m sure we can provide some great applicants!

The successful artist will receive:
🎨 An artist’s fee for the research stage of $10,000
🎨 An additional Commission Fee for new work of up to $30,000
🎨 Travel and accommodation allowance of up to $15,000
🎨 Access to a workspace within the Parliamentary Library

EOIs are open until 11am on 16 June 2026.
