Great turnout for the inagural Skyrun. Queenstown has put on a rare warm, dry day. Up over Mt Owen to Linda and back to Queenstown. 15, 25 and 50 km runs. Better them than me. 😀

Just picked up 2 of these beauties in Zeehan op shop. Made in September 1931. Can't thank Shannyn enough for letting me know of their existance. Stoked.

They were wandering the streets of Queenstown and couldn't find the hotel. 🤔
Turns out they were in New Zealand! 😂

After missing for many decades, the Melbourne Bitter mirror has been replaced at the front of the hotel. Looks so good.

After a winter break, we are opening for accommodation again on September 12. The weather is settling down after the horrific storms that battered Tasmania and Queenstown especially where the roof of the gym was torn off and many carports and garages were damaged. Even Hunters Hotel wasn't spared. We had 2 windows complete with frames blown in, fortunately not in the guest area and easily fixed. Shows how resilient a 125 year old building can be. Looking forward to welcoming our guests again.

Walked to the stunning Horsetail Falls along the new extended walking track to the top of the falls on Mt Owen, Queenstown. We managed to get a lucky gap in the weather. It was still cold but well worth it. Very loud up there.
