Love a late night Whisky well here’s a new local to try

On 6 June 2024, our distillery's launch anniversary, we filled our first whisky barrel and began what we call the Arid Maturation Project.

That barrel has now sat quietly in Quorn for just over two years. Through scorching summers, winter frosts, dust storms, drought and rain. While we built a distillery, a bakery, a Makers Centre and a tourism experience around it, it simply waited.

Nobody has written the manual for maturing whisky in a climate this arid and this extreme. So we're writing it, one barrel at a time.

JUNE AT THE QUORN SILO — Bitter Springs in Translation, Extended
We have great news. By popular demand, the Bitter Springs documentary continues into June at the Quorn Silo Light Show.
Please note the show time has changed for June. The documentary now starts later in the evening as we follow the sun into winter.
This is a rare chance to see a piece of living history under the stars. In 1949, Bitter Springs was filmed right here in and around Quorn, with 120 Anangu men, women and children as its cast. For 77 years, their words went untranslated. This documentary begins to change that.
ABC North & West recently featured the story of the translation project, bringing this remarkable piece of South Australian history to a wider audience.
Free. Every night throughout June. Under the stars.
