Flashback to 2003 when I took this photo. I've actually seen brumbies quite a few times since then, I think the last time was up near the top about 6 or 7 years ago. The horses originated from a cross between Arab and Clydesdales which were used in the logging industry on the island.
Who remembers seeing these beautiful horses roaming free along the beach?

There are a few old jettys on Fraser Island that I like to visit and photograph. This is McKenzie Jetty, just 2 kms south of Kingfisher Bay Resort. It's a timeless reminder of times gone where logging was a dominant industry on the island.
