There’s a barra out there worth $1 million 🎣

Million Dollar Fish Season 12 is on until 31 March 2027, with one red-tagged barra worth a million and plenty of $10K fish swimming through the Top End. You couldn’t be better placed, with the lodge sitting right in the heart of prime barra country.

Head out on a charter with Dorian Rondot or take to the skies with a heli fishing trip. However you get out there, it’s your shot at the big one.💰🐠

Christmas long lunches are back at the lodge 🎄🥂

If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate the end of the year with your team, friends or family, come and spend the afternoon with us. We’ll bring you out from Darwin and back again, so all you need to do is settle in, enjoy a good Christmas lunch with a drink in hand and maybe cool off in the pool before heading home.

$330 per person for groups of 10 or more.

September on the Finniss ✨

This month we said goodbye to Leo Venturin. A father, a Nonno, the patriarch of the Venturin family and the man whose vision started it all.

Born in Italy in 1936, Leo came to Australia at 25 with a trade and plenty of ambition. In 1987 he bought Finniss River Station, and the lodge you know today sits on the country he made his own. The cattle still carry his brand - TLV 🐮

We’ll miss his stories, his stubbornness and his cheeky humour. Rest easy, Leo. 1936 to 2026. ❤️

Finniss River Lodge was lucky enough to be one of the stops within this epic helicopter pub crawl! 20 helicopters, 62 passengers, 4 pubs and an absolute ripper of a day. 🤠

The trip was put on for , and what an epic day it was. Great people and a day we won’t forget in a hurry.
