Every now and then our guests get a front row seat to a real Top End muster, mob after mob moving along the floodplain, dust hanging in the air, water still holding on in the channels from the wet.

Musters happen as part of normal operations here, so timing’s never something we can guarantee for guests, but if you’re around when it happens, you’re in for a pretty special sight.

July, one of the very best 💫

Crisp mornings, or should we say cold for us Territorians 😏 Floodplains so still they mirror the blue above. Geese in their thousands, salties sunning on the banks, and airboat visibility that’s been nothing short of exceptional this month.

Mustering season is in full swing, with burn offs lighting up the horizon at dusk.

But the real highlight? A beautiful wedding on the property for Olivia Venturin, a cherished member of our Finniss River family, surrounded by the very landscape she grew up loving 🥰

Dry season, we love you and welcome you back for another month in and around the Finniss.

A getaway that actually feels like one. 😍

Slow mornings on a guided safari walk, an airboat through the heart of the Finniss, long lunches with local flavours, canapés with our locals, lazy afternoons by the pool, and drinks under the stars.

No noise, no notifications, just the two of you. 🫶🏽

Busy out here working the land, mustering season is in full swing and gee, aren’t we’re lucky to call this home. 🐮🌿

50,000 acres of working cattle station and it takes a good crew to get it done. Lucky for us we’ve got legends like these keeping things moving.

You might recognise this face. Our chef Lachy’s back at the lodge, but he’s traded the oven for an ATV this time round. Good to have him back, wherever he’s stationed. 🙌🏾

Mate, this is it. Waking up to brekkie in the bush as the Finniss comes alive around you, buggy and airboat adventures through the day, spotting wildlife, then a campfire at night with local food and drinks the whole stay through.

We won’t say it, we’ll let you feel it. This is outback luxury living at its finest.

And the best bit? We get to meet new guests and show them exactly this. Unreal if you ask us. 🙌🏾
