KoRI Carers and volunteers are heartbroken to let you know that sadly we have lost ‘IZZY’ & ‘BUDDY’💔
This is the hardest post I have ever had to do, I have been in tears every time I try to look at photos of our boys.
Izzy became seriously ill several weeks ago and Buddy became ill only a few days later. Despite all our efforts, multiple tests, intensive care and treatment we lost first Buddy then a week later little Izzy.
These two little bundles of joy where the most incredible best buddies and we thank you all for your support,comments and following our video posts that started as ‘Izzy’s antics’.
We would like to thank the incredible support and treatment given by Dr Alistair Eddie and the amazing nurses at Wildlife Victoria Travelling Vet Service, the vets, nurses and staff at Healesville Sanctuary Wildlife Health Centre and Dr Shali Fischer at Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
The biggest thank you needs to be to our team of Carers and Volunteers at Koalas of Raymond Island. Our team work hard caring for every single koala that comes into care, but with Izzy and Buddy requiring around the clock intensive care and monitoring, we were stretched to another level. I can’t say more than THANK YOU, you are all amazing people.❤️

‘Indi’ is such a gentle, placid koala even when we are putting antibiotic and steriod drops in her eye several times a day. 🐨
