Each of our accommodations has its own unique Tasmanian scent thanks to their gorgeous room scents … and now we’re taking our outdoor bathing ritual up another notch too.

Meet one of Aquila’s most special locals - Eucalyptus morrisbyi (Morrisby’s gum). This tree is a Tasmanian endemic found only in the south-east of the state and listed as Critically Endangered nationally.
In the wild, this beautiful eucalypt survives in just a handful of small populations, which is why every new planting matters.
At Aquila, Eucalyptus morrisbyi is at the heart of our Plant-A-Tree scheme. When you add a $5 donation to your booking, you’re directly helping us plant more of these very special trees here on the retreat grounds, and you become part of our sustainability story. 💛
As a thank-you, you’ll receive a plaque, made by us using upcycled materials, with your name beside one of the sponsored trees. This is a small marker of a meaningful contribution (and a lovely reason to take a wander and find “yours” when you stay). 😀
