Whilst some of our campers chose not to make the journey due to the petrol situation - both cost and supply - at the time (which we fully appreciated), those who did come were treated to some wonderful weather and thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
Cannot believe it has been 12 months since Brent and Melissa had their self organised, catered, amazing set up (floral arrangements of various types including fantastic wagon wheels hanging from the ceiling of their marquee, classic dinner sets, glasses, vases, candle holders, vintage claw foot bath tub, classic cake and savory display stands, the list is endless. We are certain they are as happy now as they were then and still thanking their wonderful friends who assisted with the set up, washing up and, packing away of all the timeless pieces that made the day as perfect as it was.
Happy anniversary Brent and Melissa
The weather has lost its heat somewhat for the May Day long weekend with happy campers arriving to make the most of the last long weekend until September.
The walls have begun (with the outside skin erected) in the Tiny House outside kitchen area with a 3x6m decking area housing the fridge, sink, cooking/preparation area and table/seating. Still room for the children and pets to run around in the fenced off area along with a fire pit to enjoy on the cooler evenings. The plan is to have running water to the sink with the rain water run off from the roofs being captured and funneled to containers with a pump that will service the accommodation nicely. With air conditioning a Queen bed and bunks it is a reasonably priced accommodation for 2 to 4 people. New photos to come up of the progress soon.
As for the Lodge our friend Paul who upgraded the ensuite (which I am still smiling about) has turned his attention to the main bathroom. The spa bath (which cannot be used due to water supply) is being removed with a large shower cubicle replacing it. This will be advantageous for all guests, especially the ones not too keen on having to make the BIG step in and out of the tub..... watch this space for the photos ... work to commence end of May.
Tony's brother, Richard, spent 2 days hand painting the toilet/manual shower room attached to the covered amenity block in the unpowered camp site area. It certainly has made a difference and we thank him for travelling from Melbourne to do it :)
We appreciate all campers supporting us and we look forward to many more years of seeing your smiling faces.
Thank you
