(I think I’m missing a link for Trudeau)
This is profound and I appreciate it. What upsets me is that we(our family/kids) were raised and taught to see people as people! No colour, no religion, just people..... we may have different beliefs, different religions, different ways of doing things but we are all human. All wanting, living, loving and trying to make it in the world. I’d like to believe I’m an honest, unbiased/non-racist person. I believe I’ve shown all those I’ve connected with or met that I value them as a person, not as a colour, race, or a religion. I thank my parents for teaching me/us that we are all the same. We all bleed red, we put one leg in our pants at a time to dress, we ALL have feelings, emotions and love. I for one don’t care what colour our skin is, I merely care that we are all kind, understanding of others beliefs or values and for me the colour of my skin nor anyone else’s EVER had an impact on my opinion! My opinion is always specifically based on how you treat me. I’ll add I do have opinions of “some” people, but it’s been a personal conflict that made me have that opinion, of them, not of the race, I’ll never have a “blanket” opinion of a race/colour/religion etc. My bias will ALWAYS be because of a repeated pattern expressed to me! I’ll never do a “general” encompassing of race, religion, colour etc. I’m specific to those who have hurt me, not the race, etc. I can honestly say as a white person I have had many conflicts, not only have I dished out attitude I’ve received it. Please, let’s just acknowledge that not everyone needs, not should they be labeled the same due to “one” persons actions. Love to all xoxox
