Room for the whole crew ❤️

Big family get togethers, group weekends and special celebrations are what The Convent does so well. And we love hearing when our guests enjoy having the space to make it all happen.

Thanks for the lovely review, Jaclyn!

Now this is how you celebrate! 🍾🥂

When Ben first got in touch about organising a special birthday celebration for his wife Yvette, we had a feeling this was going to be a good one. 💫

From beers and laughs at the Brewery on Friday to an incredible in-house party at The Convent on Saturday, complete with stand-out catering from pickled sisters | restaurant | catering | functions | Rutherglen, they certainly made the most of their weekend with us.

A few words from Ben’s 5⭐️ review:

“…we could not have chosen a better venue! The property is beautifully restored and every room is thoughtfully furnished and decorated… Gina was a delight to deal with in the run up to the event and provided so many useful tips and recommendations for our guests to enjoy during their stay… we cannot recommend the Convent enough!”

Thanks for staying with us, Ben and Yvette. We loved having you ❤️

Staying in Rutherglen comes with a few perks.

Like being surrounded by some of Victoria’s best w**e country… and having a very good reason to pour yourself a glass. 🍷

Today’s choice: a delicious sparkling from SCION W**E (our new fave!)

Tomorrow? There are plenty more to discover!

A weekend at the Convent looks a little like this.

Good people, great food, local w**e, slow mornings. And plenty of reasons to stay up just a little too late 🍷

Six years since we got the keys!

Before the shine, it was dust, noise, very long days, and some good people showing up and getting it done.

Somewhere in the middle of the chaos, something else was built too. Real mateship, plenty of laughs, and a shared belief that this old place was worth bringing back to life.

And a town that got behind us early, backing what this could become.

This one’s for everyone who picked up a tool, lent a hand, or believed in it from the beginning.

We are grateful for every one of you!
