10 year old Emmett proudly landed an incredible 95cm Murray Cod while fishing with his Pop Stewart, a memory they’ll be talking about for years to come.

Hello Rutherglen!

We're Stewart and Pat, and we're excited to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Poachers Paradise Motel. We've recently taken over from Greg and Kerrie and are thrilled to be joining such a welcoming and vibrant community.

With over 26 years in the motel industry, we've had the pleasure of living and owning motels in several wonderful places, and most recently relocating from Swansea in Tasmania. Prior to our years in hospitality, we were wheat and sheep farmers in Dubbo, so community and hard work have always been at the heart of what we do.

After many years of a fast paced, and high demand lifestyle, we were drawn to Rutherglen for its relaxed pace, friendly locals, and strong sense of community. It already feels like a wonderful place to call home, and we're excited to settle in and enjoy a calmer chapter of life here.

We're really looking forward to getting to know the locals and becoming a part of this great town. Whether you'd like to stop by for a chat, say hello when you see us around, or simply get to know us over time, we'd love to meet you.
