Really ought to get a better person onto our socials… perhaps, sorry about that. Too busy focusing on delivering other aspects of developing Nunduk.

The team is making progress on a number of fronts:

Looking to start geothermal drilling later this year when it dries out a bit, which will inform the detailed design stage (drillpad started, necessary precursor) and we are moving well through the Operator engagement piece - another important step in derisking the project.

Have also done some ninor works on the current entry road to make it suitable for construction traffic.

More Architectural refinement & Lanscape design is taking place as well, although I am afraid neither of those will not result in anything physical to show for that work
So not dead, far from it, there is a lot to do to bring an iconic luxury hotel to life.

Keep thinking positive thoughts for us!

Fantastic to see some of our neighbours in the Lakes system getting into the Blue Carbon way of regenerating. A really fantastic way of drawing down carbon, watch for more to follow their lead!

'It's like witchcraft': Happy Gippsland farmers are optimistic about restoring previously unviable saltmarshes to earn blue carbon credits.

Short & final note for 2021:

The Nunduk team are pleased to share that the good folks at RDV have come good on their promise of support with a significant milestone payment pushed through before year end. Whoo hoo!

These funds will employ contractors, commensurate with the local jobs first policy, to enable the continuation of early stage infrastructure works over this summer.

Looking forward to being able to announce some exciting partnerships in 2022 too.

Well done to everyone in the team (including some great people at Regional Development Victoria - DM & KC 🤙🏽) in helping move Nunduk Spa Retreat forward, closer to being, and activating the Western end of the Gippsland Lakes for new visitors.

Happy New Year to all!

Long time between updates with a lot of behind the scenes work going on (most not terribly exciting or able to be presented in an newsworthy fashion) but Nunduk Spa Retreat is really excited to be getting the Regional Development Victoria's (RDV) "Enabling Infrastructure" support grant underway.

Thanks to RDV, Wellington Shire Council, DELWP & the ICN gateway, for working with us to get these funds flowing into the region to support the Local Jobs First policy of State Government and allowing some necessary works to begin whilst we work in the background towards getting our building permit in 2022.

(sorry no pictures of site yet, the photographer has been stuck in Melbourne)

We have been selected to participate in the 2021 Venice Biennale's "Virtual Italian Pavillion"; We are going to run with this project as we have Finally Perfected full Planning Approval for Nunduk, our favourite Regeneration / NET ZERO / Health & Wellbeing Project.

Another reason why our location is so great..

Another reason why our location is so great..

We’re pretty freakin’ excited by the potential of this one…

The Gippsland Lakes Aquatic Trail (GLAT) is just the type of hero project our region needs; it will be attractive to locals and visitors alike, respects and includes the Gunaikurnai people, encourages active immersion in nature, is educational and can provide economic opportunities to a range of businesses and towns.

The GLAT concept is highlighted by a signature experience — a four-day, three-night journey taking in our magnificent coastline, estuaries, beaches, views, Aboriginal history, unique wildlife and local produce via cycling, walking or paddling. This is complemented by a series of alternative itineraries to appeal to a broad range of visitors and Gippslanders alike. Allowing you to curate the adventure that best suits you around the Gippsland Lakes.
