Inline with the NSW health directive for people from the Northern Beaches LGA to stay at home, we will not be accepting people into the camp from this area for the next 3 days. We will contact those with bookings from this area today to advise. We hope the situation improves over the next few days but will follow what NSW health advises over the coming days and weeks.

Info on Check-in and Temp checks.

For the time being anyone who comes through the gate will have their temp checked at the office via a staff member. If you are travelling in a car/group with someone who has a high temp then the whole car/group will be refused entry.
Now it’s not that hard to know if you have a temperature, you generally feel pretty crook. If you or any of your party are sick then please leave them at home, you will jeopardise your whole groups stay here. Hopefully this won’t be for too long but at the minute it is part of our new policy.
Our COVID 19 safety plan (as per nsw legislation) should be online via our website for all to view in the coming days.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back at Treachery, just a reminder we are now fully booked out for this weekend 🙂

25/05/2020

We are working hard to open Treachery by the June long weekend (June 5th). We will be limiting numbers in the camp when we reopen as we negotiate a new business model taking into account social distancing laws etc. We have contacted people who had bookings prior to the covid pandemic for the long weekend and with those bookings and reduced numbers we are now booked out for the long weekend. This will be a trial run for us, We have new procedures for everything which will no doubt be a learning curve for all. Please be patient and work with us as we find our feet. We are taking bookings from Monday June 8th onward

With news this morning that travel will be allowed in NSW from June 1st we are waiting to see if that includes the opening of campsites. We should know in the next day or so. Whilst we have been closed we have done some major civil works in the park. These will hopefully be completed in the coming weeks, if they are not then we will remain closed until they are
We are all looking forward to seeing you back at Treachery, the place is not the same without you all.

31/03/2020

We are now legislated to be closed until the end of June, the gate is locked and we are treating the place like a private property. Most people with bookings should have received a call or email from us the last few days. While the camp is closed we are doing some major works in the park that can’t be done when we are open. Ripping up roads, diverting water and generally making it a nicer place to use when we open again.
Please look after yourselves and those around you

26/03/2020

We are closing as of this afternoon. Whilst this is not a forced closure, we feel it is the right thing to do. We are slowly ringing everyone with bookings for the next two weeks, refunds or transfers will obviously be available. As the situation in NSW and the country unfolds I’ll keep everyone in the loop as to how it will impact Treachery in the coming months. We will make a call on the school holidays this time next week but please do not be upset nor surprised if we remain closed. Stay at home, now is not the time to go camping or chase waves.

A message from Treachery management in regards to the current corona virus situation.
Firstly I’d like to apologise to those who have been trying to contact us by phone the last few days. We have had unprecedented number of calls and emails in regards to what’s going on at Treachery.
We are still open and will remain open unless directed by authorities to close. We are reducing our numbers in the camp to ensure people have plenty of room around them. This will mean we will book out much sooner than normal. Cabin bookings will remain normal.
If you have current bookings over the next few months and feel uncomfortable going away we will happily transfer your booking and any monies paid to a later date, be it 6/9/12 months down the track, or that money can be held in your client account if you do not know when you will be able to get away next.
We are taking things day to day like everyone else, if the situation changes I will let everyone know as soon as we do.

Above all be kind to those around you and look after those that are vulnerable.

We have been given the all clear in regards to the fire situation earlier today 😊

12/11/2019

We are open again from lunchtime today. Due to the continued fire risk in the surrounding bush we are putting a fire ban in the park until we get some rain. That means no open fires at all over the next week at least, Irrespective of fire danger ratings.

10/11/2019

CAMP CLOSED. We have decided to shut Treachery due to the extreme fire weather in the upcoming days. The national park around us has been closed and resources are stretched thin with the fires to the north.Any deposits/money paid will be refunded or credited. At this stage we will open again noon Wednesday depending on conditions. We have been open every single day since 1964 until today.
