The Heritage Fleurieu Coast Festival is a biennial festival organised by the Yankalilla and District Historical Society (YDHS) to coincide with South Australia’s History Month in May.

There’s a great local story behind the new playground benches at Second Valley, made from a storm-felled blackwood given a second life.

It’s a wonderful example of sustainability and community collaboration in action.

The word was spearheaded by local woodworker Greg Monssen in conjunction with the Second Valley Progress Association, and support from District Council of Yankalilla.
