Thanks to all who came last Sunday for our Trash and Treasure. Plenty was sold but there are still some items remaining. I’ll take stock and advertise good quality items on Facebook later this week.

We have had great support today for our Trash and Treasure day which will see many items offered for sale and more keep coming in.
Hopefully we will be able to display them to advantage.
We have garden equipment, some left over renovation materials, board games,books, DVDs, sports equipment, electronic equipment including an analogue (1st generation) wii, an electric guitar and amp as well as a Lego tower.
A dog crate and puppy trading accessories have been donated ( No dogs live here 🙂 only chickens) There are also 6 half wine barrels in well used condition if anyone wants to take them on).
The usual household items are well represented and only a few clothes ( most will be donated to op shops).
We have some furniture and some interesting paintings. Even if you don’t like the pictures, some of the frames are amazing treasures. Make an offer if you can use them.
There are some electric items and buyers are welcome to test them before purchase. Some are new or near new, some are just superseded or plain not needed and ready for a new home. Some are a bit dusty from storage. Please note they are purchased as is. As some have been donated and we have little knowledge of them, we don’t accept responsibility for them being ‘old’. Please inspect before purchase to ensure they are what you want.
That being said, they are not expected to fetch a high price and later in the day, we will most likely start giving things away to the late comers.
We hope to get all sorted by 9am tomorrow so early birds may find us still organising.
For those asking, we’ll start cooking sausages around 8.30 for our breakfast and you are welcome to join us.

Our Trash and Treasure is happening tomorrow , here at Sevenhill Cottages.
A big thank you to all who are helping and bringing along their treasures.
Just to enhance the atmosphere, we have a sausage sizzle planned for buyers and sellers. $2 per sausage with bread and sauce. Also a variety of soft drinks will be available from $1.
All items can be haggled over with $1 being the lowest amount (though it may be for more than one item)
Cash is preferred but a credit card may be used for larger purchases.
A testing station will be available for any electrical good that are purchased.
Some items will only be Treasure to the select few so come along and see for yourself.
Looking forward to seeing you during the day.

A big thank you to Janie for last weeks article about our Trash and Treasure on 29 September, in the Plains Producer. We’re looking forward to getting everything out in the open on the 28th and posting pictures on local pages as well as here.

Finally, after being here for seven years, we are looking at freeing up some of the items that have been retired from use (or purchased and never used, or used only once) which have been kept in storage ‘just in case’.

With the coming of spring, having a clear out of ‘surplus to use’ items at Sevenhill Cottages is happening on Sunday 29th September in the form of a Trash and Treasure Day.

Our items won’t be priced, so come and make a reasonable offer or haggle, and pay cash on the day. And yes, some things will be free, possibly by prior arrangement.

Proceeds will go towards the ongoing landscaping of the grounds (thanks to Sam, Lewis and Sacha), the last area of the cottages to be ‘renovated’ (looking great guys!!) and towards quality cottage maintenance (thanks to Nathan who keeps the place in tip top condition).

A few others have expressed an interest in bringing along their saleable treasures so it will be a bit larger than just us!

We have enough space on our grounds to accommodate a few more so please email us at [email protected] if you want to have a ‘site’, especially if you are in Sevenhill. Acceptance will be on a first come basis.

As we get organised, we’ll be posting updates here and on local Facebook sites over the coming weeks with photos of treasures that will be for sale on the day (though offers may be made prior).

After being fully booked over the Easter long weekend for weeks now, I have had a last minute cancellation.
If you would like a last minute four day getaway in our comfortable and cosy two bedroom Kookaburra Cottage for up to four people from 3pm on Thursday 14th April 2022 until 11am on Monday 18th, please contact Gaynor on 0408850845.
The four day self catering package is $750 for one bedroom or $1350 for both bedrooms.
We can supply generous provisions for a country breakfast for each day for each booked guest for $40 per guest.
Of course we are always happy to renew old acquaintances and welcome back previous guests.
