This weekend’s guests arrived in their beautiful 1938 Ford, still in its original and pretty perfect condition. It was here in Kangaroo Valley for the filming of The Flood.

All the hard work paid off. Congratulations Valley Cheesemakers on breaking the World Record for the World’s Largest Cheese Tasting.
With 1,000 people corralled into the official holding pens, ensuring the necessary pin point timing for 1,000 pieces of cheese to simultaneously collide with 1,000 tongues required military precision. Tongues enthusiastically engaged with cheese to effortlessly break the standing record of 560.

This is what 1,000 people looks like! This group, plus many more we were unable to accommodate, came to the Kangaroo Valley Show yesterday afternoon to help our attempt to set a new world record for simultaneous cheese tasting. The current record is 560, so... Thank you to everyone who came out, we’re so touched by your efforts! In case you missed it, we're aiming to set a new World Record for the Largest Cheese Tasting next weekend. There has been a lot of interest in our Attempt but we’re only able to admit the first 1,000 participants.

To avoid being disappointed at not making it into the first 1,000, arrive early at our Tasting Area! Entry opens at 3.30pm

Out and about this morning. Its going to be very warm later on so we're taking our constitutional now to avoid the heat. The dogs cant understand what im doing, taking photos, and are trying to tell me to just throw the ball and move on.

There's nothing like a blue sky day in kangaroo Valley. The bees are in a frenzy in the tea tree and the cedars are just about to burst into leaf.

It's now mid winter and although its pretty cold it's nice to relax in front of the fire with a book and glass of wine and not feel too guilty about all the things that aren't being done.
The lyre birds love the wet weather and are taking great delight scratching (read as ripping up) the garden looking for tasty morsels.
