She reached into the mouth of a wild shark. What happened next is unbelievable... 🦈

Cristina Zenato is a conservationist who dives with Caribbean reef sharks. One day, a female shark approached her in obvious pain, with a large, rusted fishing hook stuck in her mouth.

Cristina gently reached in and pulled it out and the shark didn't panic or bite. Instead, she was instantly relieved 😌

Then, something incredible happened. Word must have spread underwater because other wild sharks started swimming right up to Cristina with hooks in their jaws.

These wild sharks will actually rest their heavy heads in her lap and patiently wait for her to remove the painful metal 🥰

To date, Cristina has safely removed over 300 hooks!

This completely changes how we see these deeply misunderstood animals. They aren't mindless monsters. They are highly intelligent, feeling creatures.

Fantastic, it should be world wide.

In some countries, animal abuse gets a warning. In Italy, it now gets you 4 years in prison.

Italy just passed one of the toughest animal protection laws in Europe. Under the new legislation, known as the Brambilla Law, anyone who deliberately kills or tortures an animal now faces up to 4 years in prison and fines of up to 60,000 euros. That's double what the penalties were before.

But the law goes further than just harsher sentences. For the first time, Italy legally recognizes animals as sentient beings with their own rights, not just property. It also introduces a nationwide ban on permanently chaining dogs outdoors, increases penalties for organizing animal fights, and cracks down on illegal puppy trafficking. If the abuse is filmed and shared online, or committed in front of children, the penalties go up even further.

The law passed the Senate unanimously and came into force on July 1, 2025. Italy is now one of the first countries in Europe to treat crimes against animals as crimes against the animals themselves, not just offenses against human feelings.

Covering around 42,000 square meters and rising approximately 27 meters high, this innovative structure features what is widely recognized as Europe’s largest green façade. Its exterior is wrapped in more than 30,000 hornbeam hedges, carefully selected for their dense, year-round foliage. Stretching over several kilometers, these living elements transform the building into a vibrant, ever-changing landscape that blends urban design with natural beauty.

Beyond its visual appeal, the building delivers meaningful environmental benefits. The dense hedges help filter air pollutants, reduce surrounding noise, and support small urban wildlife, contributing to increased biodiversity. They also play a role in regulating temperature by providing shade and absorbing carbon dioxide, helping reduce the urban heat effect often experienced in city environments.
