CARAVAN AND CAMPSITES WITHDRAWN

After 40 wonderful years, we would like to sincerely thank all the campers and caravanners who have supported us throughout our journey.

Over the decades, we have had the pleasure of meeting truly amazing people, from large and small families to solo travellers. The friendships, stories and memories shared along the way have been incredibly rewarding, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

However, the time has come for us to make a change. We have made the difficult decision to cease offering caravan and camping sites.

While most of our guests have been respectful and appreciative, we have experienced an increasing number of rude, aggressive and threatening interactions, particularly through email and social media. Unfortunately, this trend has grown significantly in recent years and has taken much of the enjoyment out of what we do.

We know we are not alone in facing these challenges. Many businesses across the tourism, hospitality and accommodation sectors, both here in the Far West and across Australia, have reported similar experiences with declining civility and increasingly aggressive customer behaviour. It is disappointing that what was once the exception has become far more common.

We have always done our best to provide clear communication, assistance and guidance. However, we cannot control factors such as weather conditions or decisions made by event organisers in the Far West, despite often being unfairly blamed for circumstances beyond our control. It often seems that no matter how clearly information is communicated, some people choose to ignore what is in front of them, creating unnecessary frustration for everyone involved.

Moving forward, Eldee Station Stays will return exclusively to what we do best: specialising in accommodated, hosted and fully catered farm stays and tours.

Our website will soon be updated to reflect these changes, along with exciting new packages and experiences. So, watch this space!

Thank you again to everyone who has supported us over the past 40 years. We look forward to welcoming guests in this next chapter.

Well the grass hoppers have hatched and starting to form bands. Here they are crossing the road on Eldee Station.

I think the blustery change from the south west has hit. Hopefully there is some rain in it.

ANOTHER GOOGLE STUFF UP
What does everybody notice here? These are the tracks of a road train in the middle of our paddock. Notice there is no track. This is the result of a driver trying to follow Google to get to Wilangee but sent him through Belmont and back through our paddock. Just an extra 20 plus K's and a few more gates to open and close. Did someone say we were going to get rain? We are just inundated with lots of insects I have never seen before. All the ants have been building high little walls around their entrances but they are predicting very little rain for us. So let's see what unfolds over the next couple of days.
