Last weekend we hosted our third Fire Feast at Budgalong.
What started three years ago as an idea to bring people together around a table has grown into one of our favourite days of the year.
For us, Fire Feast is about more than just a long lunch.
It’s about coming together, sitting around a table, sharing good food and better company, and taking the time to slow down and enjoy a different pace of life.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the busy, always-on world we live in and forget what really matters. Budgalong isn’t an escape from reality. It’s closer to it.
Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the many local producers who help fill the table. Grassland Poultry, Wuuluman Market and so many others who grow, raise and produce incredible food right here in our region.
And of course, the amazing team at Terra Firma Dining, who take that produce and turn it into something pretty special over the open fire.
We’re incredibly lucky to have such great people around us, and to be able to share a little bit of this place with everyone who comes through the gate.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, helped out, supplied produce, cooked, poured a drink or simply pulled up a seat around the table.
