I don’t have favourites…. but if I did.

March and April feel like summer on Tasmania’s north east coast. They’re the months of tomatoes, the last of the raspberries, hiking with clear skies and beaches with no wind!

Any time is the best time to visit Tas ~ but March or April? You won’t regret them.

This room almost didn’t happen.

The travertine tiles made their way from Sydney across Bass Strait and when they arrived I was so sad to find they were full of large holes and didn’t quite match the colour in the pictures. We almost returned them, but the shipping cost didn’t make it worth it.

Our tiler was more positive and infilled the holes, but halfway through the tiling I remember telling Dad we needed to stop. The room felt too busy and overwhelming.

Thankfully, Dad was determined to persevere (I suspect largely because of the time and money already invested…), and voilà — my favourite room came together.

The room wouldn’t be as it is without the brass fittings, a river stone sink, and fiddleback timber crafted by Tony, a local woodworker. And to encourage optimum relaxation, we added the incredible bath bags from (made just up the road), alongside essentials, robes, and the beautiful towels by .

It’s been a busy and bountiful harvest this summer despite the dry. We’ve been so lucky to welcome such wonderful people to the farm this summer - couples, friends, solo travellers, mums and daughters 🥹, elopers and little ones.

It’s been just over two years since opening and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to share our farm. We were also lucky to have our second feature in featuring the magical photography. Wishing everyone a beautiful and safe 2026. Anna, Ross + Jo x

We were both surprised and honored to receive Silver in the Tasmanian Tourism Awards, Gustav Weindorfer Award for New Tourism Business. While awards aren’t the measure of hard work, it was a lovely moment of recognition. Cheers to all the other nominees and to everyone out there starting something new, learning on the go, and juggling side hustles before or after the “real” job—what fun!

Once thought extinct, a kayaker rediscovered the Davies Wax Flower on the banks of Martha Vale. Now there are 12-15 plants in our conservation area and we were so excited to see one plant looking so healthy as spring arrived that I had to take a picture!

We’re very appreciative to have local conservation groups and supporting the efforts of reestablishing its population.

Looking out over our paddocks in front of the fire is such a welcome treat when Tassie's winter chill arrives. At night, the spotted gum timber walls and pink speckled concrete floor glow from the flames, creating the most magical mood lighting! It's a treat we’re so happy to share.

A big thank you to NRM North for organising this workshop on our farm – we feel very fortunate to have hosted it. It was great to hear from Robin Tait and Dr. Rowan Smith. We're looking forward to future workshops and events in the George River catchment.
