Our Little St Kilda Getaway 🌿✨
I don’t know about you, but after travelling by plane or spending hours in the car, the first thing I want to do when I arrive at a hotel is open the windows or balcony door and let in some fresh air!
That’s exactly what I loved when we checked into our Spa Room at Kimberley Gardens Hotel in St Kilda East. We could open the door, enjoy the fresh air and immediately start to relax. And while I was settling in, my husband was already filling the beautiful big spa bath with bubbles so I could properly unwind and get into staycation mode. 🛁🥂
Our room was clean, comfortable and cosy — just the way I like it — and the location ended up being perfect for everything we wanted to do.
We popped out to the local shops to stock the fridge with our favourite snacks, then grabbed an Uber into Melbourne to meet friends at my favourite Italian restaurant. It was so easy being close enough to the city without actually having to stay right in the middle of all the noise and bustle.
The next day we headed to Chadstone to meet our kids and grandkids for a little family indulgence and, with Melbourne putting on some gorgeous weather, finished the afternoon with a stroll along St Kilda Beach. ☀️🌊
After a cosy early night back at the hotel, we spent our final day exploring the shops and cafés around Chapel Street, just a short drive away.
It was exactly the getaway the two of us needed — relaxing when we wanted it to be, but close to everything when we felt like getting out and exploring Melbourne.
