Hidden and tucked away in the back streets of Cremorne, Denis The Menace, is a monster warehouse converted in to one of the coolest cafes I've been to in a long time!
Old doors for tables, apple crates for booths and wooden cladding for walls mixed with other fantastic interior features sets this cafe apart from your average Melbourne joint, and the fodda isn't half bad either! πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Above is their "Frenchmans Toast" - pistachio, milk crumb, poached rhubarb, orange mascarpone and raspberry dust. Superb! I also knocked back a "Antioxidant Peach and Lime Cooler" from their specials menu which was pretty good too.
For those on the run, this hipster hangout also has a takeaway option as well! What more could you want? 😎

Light, healthy and a perfect meal to have post workout - Picnic Cafe πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ˜‹
Under new ownership, Picnic has gone through a full reno and opened its doors in South Yarra 6 days ago. Varun and his business partner bring heaps of hospitality know-how to Toorak Road including previous senior roles at places like Crowne and The Langham. It isn't exactly on the same scale, but this small cafe still packs a punch and the locals will be loving their new gig!
I sampled the sweet potato, quinoa and chilli fritters with avocado, poached eggs, tomato and spinach plus their post workout shake - strawberries, honey, protein powder and almond milk! πŸ“ 🍯 πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Great job guys πŸ‘πŸΌ

Get the deck chairs out! Ben & Jerry's and their Open Air Cinemas are setting up camp on St Kilda Beach for the next 3 weeks and it kicks off tomorrow night!
Tom Hanks and co will be getting the ball rolling with "Inferno" at Sunset while you sit back, relax and knock back a jar or 3! The Cider Lab, 4 Pines Brewing Company and Giesen Wines will be waiting in the wings where you can also get a slab of pizza and of course, your favourite scoop of the good stuff! πŸ¦πŸ»πŸ·πŸ•
Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for concessions and $40 for the "Star Lounge." I advise you book your tickets online because tickets are $5 more expensive on the door which equals one less scoop!!!

These guys are all about clean eating and according to Matcha and Albert Einstein (must be true if Matcha said it), increasing your chances of survival on Earth can only be helped by evolving to a veggie diet (literally just finished off half a skippy so that's game over for me)!
Enter the goodness - spiced avocado guac, poached vegan egg, snow pea tendrils, pomegranate, beetroot hummus and toast ($15) and an iced Matcha latte ($6) - a Matcha made in heaven!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜‹

Top Paddock signature dish has been a regular fixture on their menu and it's easy to see why! Their light and fluffy blueberry and ricotta hotcakes ($21) are a clear fans favourite and no doubt makes it a Top Tip!

Still relatively new to the Richmond scene, Holla Food & Drink served up a treat this morning and were definitely "fishing" for compliments with their salmon special, but they certainly delivered! How a-bao that?! The night noodle market is in full swing and these little babies from Wonderbao are my Top Tip! Panko crumbed eggplant πŸ† (emoji used in the correct sense for once 😏), roast pork belly 🐷 and fried chicken πŸ— gua bao's - all for 20 buckeroos!
Other standouts include West of Kin lamb ribs, Bao Stop Peking duck fries and Waffle on a Stick's you guessed it, waffle on a stick!

Juniperlooza is back in town after a successful launch last year and it will be gin o'clock between 12-6pm this Saturday and Sunday down at Pilgrim and Riverland Bar on Federation Square.
