Grapes, glorious grapes! 🍇

We cannot wait to see our vines flourish again this year. It’s been a difficult time for all, last year we could not produce wine from our grapes due to bushfire smoke.

We decided to make the most out of a bad situation by giving them away to anyone who wanted to come out and pick them. The grapes were still edible and tasted delicious, we did not want them to go to waste.

The whole experience turned out to be pretty amazing, we met some lovely people and it was a great event at Verwood. It is important to come together and to be part of something, especially in those difficult times.

Now we are looking forward and are excited for what is to come. Our vines will start to develop again in November, first the flowers and then the buds. It is exciting as no two years are ever the same with weather and a wide range of other factors constantly changing and impacting the land and the vines. Let’s see where this year takes us. 💛
