We’ve recently had our first whale re-sight in Antarctica through HappyWhale.

This humpback was first spotted off Seal Rocks in July last year by Citizen Scientist Andrew Young during its northern migration, and was re-sighted all the way in Antarctica, off Balleny Islands, seven months later.

Incredible to think that these gentle giants pass right by Phillip Island each year on one of the longest migrations in the animal kingdom.
