Even tho our Bed and Breakfast has CLOSED we are still catching up with guests we have made over the years. After Art and Ursula visited with us regularly from Florida, for a few years, they have now relocated to NSW Australia! It was so lovely to see them and stay a few nights.

Yes, feeling sad......we have closed the doors on our Bed and Breakfast for the last time after nearly seven years.

THANK YOU to all our guests, from all over the World, for making our work so interesting and your company so enjoyable. I know I will miss the interaction.

But....it’s our turn to do the travelling. We are very excited to begin the next chapter of our lives.....Retirement.

Will is another direct descendant of JOHN DRYSDALE, a very significant man here initially in the Sugar and Milling industry.
While staying with us Ian organized a tour of the Mill then drove him around the area. Will was very keen to view the Ayr Town Clock and the Home Hill Art Work, both memorials to his forebearer.

Wow......and Wow.....Another pair of extremely knowledgeable, interesting and successful women laying their heads on our Ayr Bed and Breakfast very soft pillows!!!

Dame Quentin Bryce (author of “Dear Quentin”, ex Governor General and Advocate against Domestic Violence, etc, etc) blessed our Burdekin Theatre for the Burdekin Readers and Writers Dinner Evening. The highlight being an “informal chat” with Dame Quentin by Moya Steele, a lady Lawyer from Townsville, with numerous feathers in her cap also.

Thank you ladies for your truly wonderful company.
