Meet Bilya, our estuarine crocodile, whose name means “river”.

On warm days you might find Bilya sunbaking along the logs or sandy shore, an essential part of staying healthy and supporting vitamin D absorption. And when not soaking up the warmth, Bilya is relaxing in the heated pool.

Join us during our sanctuary tour and learn more about Bilya and our other sanctuary residents.

Tammar wallaby snack time 🌿

Do you know the origin of the name “Tammar”? The name is from the type of thicket they were often seen in (“Tamma” = Allocasuarina campestris, a shrubby she-oak native to WA).

They are one of the smallest wallaby species and they are also known as the Dama Wallaby.
