Hey Guys,
We are looking for a part-time all-rounder barista to be part of our team.

We're looking for someone who understands the importance of high quality coffee and friendly service. If you have experience and are passionate about serving coffee as we are then we're looking for you!

We are not a fast paced cafe so you will have plenty time to talk to our regulars, build rapport with guests and get to know their preferences.

On quiet days, you will do some all rounder duties as well where you will need to clear tables, clean the cafe and bar areas, restock the bar, etc.

This is a part-time position for approximately 16h/week fixed days Sundays & Mondays from 6.30am to 3pm. Please DO NOT APPLY for this position IF YOU CANNOT WORK these 2 days.

CASUAL OR FULL-TIME BARISTA ALL ROUNDER.

The Hughenden Boutique Hotel located at the heart of Woollahra is looking for a committed Barista ALL ROUNDER to join our team.

At The Hughenden we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and making our guests and customers feel at home. If you have fluent English, great customer service skills, a friendly and positive can-do attitude, enjoy working as part of a team and are passionate about the hospitality industry, we're looking for you!

The ideal candidate would have previous EXPERIENCE AS A BARISTA ALL ROUNDER. We are not a fast paced cafe so you have time to talk to customers, build rapport and make sure that the cafe area is looking at its best.

This is a position for 36/week from WED-SUN. Wed/Thu/Sun from 6.30am to 12.30pm. Fridays and Saturdays 6.30am to 3.30pm.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

>MAKING CONSISTENT COFFEES
> HEATING FOOD, TOASTING SANDWICHES, ETC.
>OPENING AND CLOSING THE CAFE.
>PROVIDING EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH STANDARDS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL TIMES
>FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF AND ADHERE TO ALL HOTEL PROCEDURES AND POLICIES.
>ANTICIPATE CUSTOMERS’ NEEDS AND ASSIST THEM
ENSURE THAT CUSTOMERS AND GUESTS ARE HAPPY
FROM THE MOMENT THEY STEP INTO THE HOTEL UNTIL THEY LEAVE.
>SPEAK CLEAR USING PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE.
>MAXIMIZE SALES OPPORTUNITIES BY UP-SELLING ITEMS
>ENSURE ACCURACY WHILST PLACING ORDERS AND DELIVERING FOOD/DRINKS
>CLEAR AND RESET TABLES AND ENSURE THAT THE SERVICE AREAS ARE CLEAN AND TIDY AT ALL TIMES
>MAINTAIN STANDARDS OF HYGIENE FOR FOOD HANDLING AND PRESENTATION
> SERVE ALCOHOL

Skills and Experience Required:
- A friendly and welcoming approach
- High standards of presentation
- Ability to remain calm and still delivery under pressure
- Ability to multitask
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good team working skills
- At least 2 years experience in cafes/restaurants in Australia
- Passion for people, food and drinks
- Barista/Coffee making skills
- RSA certificate

The roster is not flexible. We need someone that can work the hours mentioned above.
