Review: The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa Idyllic and charming, a perfect sanctuary Oz-scape. Rating 9/10

We are so in love with this stunning resort. Greeted by friendly staff and dropped off to our room in a golf buggy the place feels like a tropical paradise.

Rooms are from $350+ per night.

The rooms are studio style with a lounge kitchen and private balcony area it feels very spacious and private surrounded by nature.
The bed was very comfortable too.

The poolside is heavenly, and the poolside food and drinks menu is delicious. Drinking a cocktail by the pool you feel a million miles away from anywhere.

The resort is 10 minutes drive from Byron beach but the hotel offers free transfers to and from the town.

The spa is superb, with a great choice of treatment and facilities.

The restaurant also doesn't disappoint with a fresh and tasty menu topped off with excellent service.

Whilst here make sure you visit Byron town, maybe have a surf on the beach and view a spectacular sunset at the lighthouse (most easterly point of Australia)

Overall, amazing we highly recommend.

Review: Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW. Rating 6.7/10

There is a real cosy country feel to this resort and although the look is a little dated it fits well with the natural surroundings. The views are breathtaking.

Rooms are roughly $235+ per night.

The poolside wasn't what you would expect from a 4+ star hotel. It was really outdated and there is nowhere to get a drink nearby not even a water and on the 43 degree day it was noticed.

The rooms were very clean, spacious and the beds were very cosy.

Food was average nothing amazing but still filling and reasonably priced.

The staff were very friendly and the resort offers lots of facilities such as Segway and
a relaxing spa.

The famous three sisters is only a short drive away and there are some incredible walks around the area.

Overall it's a perfect location for maybe a Christmas in July or winter weekend away.

Review: Bannisters by the Sea in beautiful Mollymook, Shoalhaven, NSW. Rating: 8/10

Arriving at Bannisters you automatically feel part of a luxury retreat.

Accommodation is roughly $430+ per night. Tip: Confirm your room type.
Having booked 4 months in advanced for a spa retreat room as advertised online it has a whirlpool bath on the balcony; I was disappointed to be told that you have to request that style room in advanced despite paying the same amount and booking that room type! Bizarre. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable, room views also weren't as advertised.

The poolside really has the wow factor an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The poolside bar has an extensive food and beverage menu and both were delicious.

The onsite famous chef restaurant is Rick Stein at Bannisters serving modern seafood with an Asian twist. What the restaurant lacked in atmosphere is made up for in fresh, flavoursome food. Breakfast is served in the same restaurant and is equally as good.

Tallwood is a local restaurant that is well worth a visit if you get the chance.

Bannisters is located 5 min drive to Mollymook beach.

Whilst here make sure you visit the stunning Cupitt's Winery it won't disappoint.

Overall a stunning romantic resort.
