Getting dressed for a special event should feel exciting, not stressful. These are the little things that can make a big difference when hiring your dress, especially if your event is coming up soon.

This is probably one of the biggest mistakes we see. Even with express shipping, Australia is big, and delivery can take longer depending on where you are. If you are rural, in WA or NT, or your event is on a weekend, giving your dress a little extra time to arrive can save so much stress.
Dress sizing is not always straightforward, especially when you are pregnant or between sizes. One brand’s size 10 can fit completely differently to another, and fabrics like lace, mesh, cotton or knit all behave differently on the body. Always read the product notes before choosing your size.
If your event is less than 2 weeks away and there is no time for a Try-On, a backup dress can be such a good option. You can add a second dress for 60% off, so you have another style or size at home if the first one is not quite right. Perfect when you want a little extra peace of mind before your event.
If you have found a dress you love, especially in a common size or for a popular event date, it is always safer to book it sooner rather than later. Once a dress is booked for your date, it is no longer available for anyone else.
Some dresses are intentionally sheer, light or crochet-style, and the right slip can completely change how polished and comfortable the final look feels. A n**e slip is often the difference between “almost right” and feeling fully confident.
Because we all know someone who leaves the outfit until the last minute. A little planning makes dress hire so much smoother, from choosing the right size to making sure everything arrives in time.
