Thanks to the crew from Mister Stain Floor Sanding for doing a great job sanding and staining the Loft balcony. Looks fabulous and won't be so slippery in the rain! All ready for the warmer weather!

A new bell has finally been installed by the reception door! Thanks to my sister for the Christmas gift and thanks to Danny for the installation. We're sure to hear you now when you arrive!

One of the Norman Lindsay Gallery's lovely volunteers lived in Rose Lindsay Cottage in the early 1970s soon after the house was finished within the sandstone shell that Rose Lindsay had built. Some years ago the volunteer kindly shared some photos of what was to become Rose Lindsay Cottage from that time. It looks very different now! Thank you for sharing a little bit of history!

We've had the Barker Bros here this week cutting some trees and dead branches, trimming up a few things and hedging the camilla and pittosporums around the lawn area. The spider lift made the whole process heaps easier. A fabulous job - great team to have around - friendly, obliging and cleaned up afterwards. Thanks Nathan & Trent. The place looks great!

And lastly - the team have replaced the swings! They were damaged with a tree fall and the white ants took a liking to them too so now sturdy, critter resitant swings are in place. Come and see us soon to see all the new work! We'd love to see you!

While not working on the BBQ seating the team have been making a new awning over the reception door. We've nearly finished the painting and the roof goes on soon. So no more waiting in the rain when you arrive or come over to see us!

After many years with temporary seating around the BBQ and fire pit area work has started on the new seating! The seats will be faced with sandstone with recycled timber seats and backs and sandstone tables at each corner. Thanks to Brett and his great team who are doing a wonderful job. It should be finished in time for a warming winter fire and BBQ. Stay tuned for more progress!

Great news! The Norman Lindsay Gallery with it's galleries, gardens and house museums are reopening on Thursday 4 November, 10 am to 4 pm from Thursdays to Sundays. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day but they will reopen from Mondays as well from 27 December. Check their website https://www.nationaltrust.org.au/places/norman-lindsay-gallery/ for upcoming exhibitions and events. The adjoining cafe is now open from Wednesdays to Sundays. Please pay a visit is you are in the area.

Enjoyed the gorgeous weather with a weekend walk to Faulconbridge Point - fabulous view, beautiful wildflowers in bloom and a surprise discovery! We found some trees used by a local Koala family - who unfortunately weren't at home. Perhaps they were staying at home elsewhere! All within a few kilometres of Rose Lindsay Cottage.
