What does this mean for the Metal Madhouse?

Unfortunately, we can no longer carry on our residency, obviously, but it also means we will no longer use the name "Metal Madhouse", as we had our metal mascot / logo (Peat), gifted to us from the generous staff at the Lewisham Hotel.

We would like to thank all the bands, that played at the Metal Madhouse, and all of you, that turned up to support our shows.
A massive thank you to all the staff at the Lewisham Hotel, for being bloody super awesome, and accommodating. We'll never forget everything you guys have done for us, and for metal!!

We wouldn't have done it without all of you, and appreciate each and every one of you, for your support, and for always believing in METAL!!

For now, we go back to being "Promotorhead Bookings", as all future shows (unless things change) will be under that heading.

Staff at long-standing Sydney live venue the Lewisham Hotel have been blindsided by the news that the space will be shutting down and closing its doors in the middle of this week as another music space…

Hi guys,

It is with great regret, that we have to inform you, that ALL metal Madhouse shows, at the Lewisham Hotel, have been cancelled.
Unfortunately, this is 100% out of our control, as the venue will be closing its doors this week.
The current owners have gone bust, and until someone else takes over, it will remain this way.
Hopefully it wont be forever, but until such change, the Metal madhouse cannot go on.

Wow, what a great night!
We'd like to thank all of you, that made the effort to come out last night, for what was a truly fantastic night. Awesome bands, great attendance, and a great bunch of people.

Dreamkillers Worldwide, Temtris, Mad Charlie & Bleeding Gasoline were off the charts. Each and every band, were a dream to work with, and it was great to have so much positive feed back from everyone. If anyone is looking for a killer band to add to their shows, we highly recommend any of these bands. Not only a pleasure to work with, but the crowd just absolutely LOVED them all!!

Jay (The sound guy), thank you for doing a rad as f**k job. Everyone commented how good the sound was, and you my friend, are one very awesome dude. Always willing to work with everyone, for a positive result!

Ben, Martini, Nick, Jon, and the Lewisham Hotel, what can we say... We love the absolute f**k out of you guys. It is such an honour and a pleasure to be able to put shows on at the Lewo. You guys are all amazing hosts, and make it such a fun night for everyone. We hope to work with you all, for a very long time to come :D

We'd like to farewell Luke Glover (for some reason I can't tag you), last night was his last show with Mad Charlie. Luke will be hugely missed, but he's assured us we'll still see him around. Enjoy your chill time mate, you're a hard working bloke, and deserve the down time. Respect!

We hope you all enjoyed your night, and got home safely.
Our next Metal Madhouse night will be another big one, and all for a very worthy cause. Hope to catch you all there!

We listened to what you wanted, and we've done our best to deliver..
The Metal Madhouse will be kicking off on the 22nd of August, at the Lewisham Hotel, with no other, than the 2015 Sydney Dime Show.

September will see Dreamkillers Worldwide + Temtris + Mad Charlie + Bleeding Gasoline

October, is yet to be announced, but I'd just like to ask that you all make an effort to come out to these shows.
We're doing our best to keep METAL alive, and give you all a home to feel welcome, and share your love of metal, but remember folks, we can't do it without you!!

Just so you all have a little insight to what goes on...
We put on shows at the Lewisham Hotel, one night a month (as well as other venues, at various times), with the expense out of our own pocket. We do not make one single cent from putting on shows (unless we sell merch, and even then it's put back in to our shows). Every single dollar made on the door, is paid directly and wholly to the bands, that turn up to play for you!

The Lewisham hotel recognise, and appreciate the efforts we all put in, and are working in conjunction with us, to bring us the best possible outcome.
The Lewisham have hired an artist, who came up with our man PEAT (see the header of the Metal Madhouse poster), they have purchased a backline, to make life so much easier for everyone, and they are keeping their drinks at a reasonable price... they even have HAPPY HOUR: 4-7pm Mon.-Fri. all spirits and beers just $4
Not forgetting their mad feed from the Bistro, just $10 or cheaper (Featuring Schnitzel, Rumpsteak, Burgers etc.)..

They are working constantly to improve the quality of the sound & lighting, after the previous management screwed it.. and they even have a "green room" of sorts, for bands.

Personally, I think this is a massive positive for ALL live music, especially METAL, but as I said, we can't do it without you..

So next time you see a show on, and can't decide if you can be arsed getting out to it, I urge you to think about the above mentioned points, and just put in that extra effort to support those of us, that are working really hard to give you what you want!!

Keep an eye on this page... We are currently booked out until December, so we still have a few announcements to make ;)
