Other places nearby are the local milk bar, Australia Post shop, Courthouse Hotel, Talbot Art & Historic Museum, Talbot Railway Station Museum & Nursery. Possum Gully Art Gallery is a short drive away. Make a note in your diary for your stay to include the third Sunday of the month. This is when the fabulous Talbot Farmers’ Market is held. Walk and taste your way through the delights displayed on Scandinavian Crescent - organic vegetables, locally made honey, olives, pastries, cakes, bread, cheeses, and stock up on trees and plants. Meander through the bric-a-brac section just one street over - it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. If you feel like exercising you can play a round of golf at The Talbot Golf Club or visit the local swimming pool, or tennis courts. Discover the many gold mining towns in our district: Clunes, a 15 minute drive, Maryborough also 15 minutes, Creswick 30 mins, Maldon 35 mins, Avoca 25 mins, Beaufort 35 mins. On the way to Avoca why not visit Amherst Winery or a little further on, the Pyrenees wineries? Public bus transport is well within walking distance, also the V-Line train station with services connecting to Maryborough, Clunes, Ballarat and Melbourne. C & A’s Cottage offers:

Had super busy February and March, lots of guests! I think the season is over and autumn is setting in trees changing colours and loosing their leaves, it's a very beautiful time in Victoria. The cold grey winter lies ahead but there's a roaring fire to be had for reading and cosy evenings to come. All the seasons are wonderful.

Had first guest from Booking.com! I was very excited and the cottage looked so lovely. Made a fire for them as it was cold and they had been gold prospecting near Ballarat on a very wet windy day.
