“In the Shallows”, created by local artist Dion Cross, is now proudly installed here at the Lagoon.

Purchased in 2026 thanks to Shell QGC, this incredible piece is a wonderful celebration of local talent and our connection to this special place.

A big thank you to Shell QGC for helping bring “In the Shallows” to Tara Lagoon and the wider Tara Community. 💛

We've heard there's been a bit of confusion, so we're here to set the record straight.

There are still campsites available in Racecourse East and Racecourse West, so if you thought you'd missed out, there's still time to round up your crew, book your campsite and secure your festival entry tickets.

🌿 A little update for our campers 🌿

From 1 July 2026, camping fees at Tara Lagoon will be updated.

🏕️ Powered sites: $11.80 per site per night
⛺ Unpowered sites: $5.70 per site per night

We appreciate your understanding and continued support of our beautiful camping spot. Thank you for choosing to stay with us — we love welcoming our campers and seeing the memories made around the lagoon. 💚
