🌳 Settlers Park🌳

📍Located within the Tara Lagoon Parklands, this park was opened in 2007 to commemorate 100 years of Closer Settlement at Tara.

These settlers are recognised by the plaques and monuments throughout the park. Featuring a tree with the family’s name and a rock cairn signifying the location of their settlement.

💡 A Fun Local Fact

Many of the street names around Tara are named after some of the original settler families commemorated in Settlers Park. Once you know the history, you’ll start spotting those names throughout town
