Surrounded by 2000 acres of natural bushland, it derives its name from the abundant supply of native Grass Trees in the area (Nundoobah meaning “Place of the Grass Tree” in the local Biripi language) . Nundoobah Retreat is a luxury B&B with a difference. There is a distinctly Aboriginal presence both in and around the cottages, illustrated through stunning Aboriginal carvings, paintings and sculptures. Relax with a book in a swing chair overlooking the river or luxuriate in your private double spa bath. Explore the river at a gentle pace by double kayak, water bike or row boat. The more active may wish to walk or mountain bike through the restored logging trails of the adjoining bushland. There is also a synthetic grass tennis court, a small putting green, a boat ramp and an outdoor pool/spa surrounded by rainforest. Last day done and dusted for myself and my little mate Taj !! ,, can't thank Maurie and De for the last 13 yrs enough , was a great time in my life with many memories , watching there family grow and my own ,, many thanks to all the guests that have come and gone and then returned again , Teen and myself have made some great friends ... All the best Mick who is taking the reins from here on !!!
