🌟 Celebrating regional development and collaboration!

On Wednesday, Temora Shire Council General Manager Melissa Boxall, Executive Manager of Economic and Community Development Craig Sinclair, and Economic Development Officer Brooke Bremer attended the Regional Development Australia (RDA) Economic Development Officer Forum.

The forum celebrated regional progress, with RDA Riverina launching its Annual Report and Country Change unveiling its Spring 2026 magazine.

Temora Shire Council was honoured to see an image of our community featured on the front cover of the latest Country Change magazine! 📸

We’re proud to see Temora Shire showcased and recognised as part of the ongoing story of regional growth and development.

🌟 Celebrate the women and girls who make a difference in our community!

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll, recognising the incredible contribution of women and girls who volunteer across regional, rural and remote NSW.

💛 Know a woman or girl who gives her time to support others and strengthen our community? Nominate her to help recognise her dedication and the difference she makes.

The program is open to nominations from friends, peers and volunteer organisations, with women aged 18 and over also able to self-nominate.

📅 Nominations close Thursday, 31 December 2026.

📢 REMINDER: October Ordinary Council Meeting – Today at 4pm

Temora Shire Council’s October Ordinary Council Meeting will be held today, Thursday 15 October, at 4pm.

The meeting is open to the public to attend in person and will also be livestreamed. We’re trialling a new livestream option via Microsoft Teams today, giving you another way to watch the meeting live.

🧠 Dementia Awareness & Understanding

Come along to a free community information session to learn more about dementia and gain valuable insights into awareness and understanding.

The session is open to all community members, including carers, friends and family of people experiencing dementia.

🚒 Can emergency services easily find your property?

As the weather warms up, residents who live on rural properties are reminded to check that their property entrance is clearly marked and easy to identify from the road.

Make sure your property:
✅ Has a clearly visible property number at the main gate or fence line
✅ Is easy to identify from the road
✅ Can be located at night or in smoky conditions

During a bush fire or other emergency, clear property identification can help firefighters and other emergency services find you more quickly.

Take a few minutes to check your property signage today — it could save valuable time when help is on the way.
